My Filthy Hunt
By Philip Stokes, in Association with Horizon Arts and Richard Jordan Productions
"The cast, under the direction of Nathan Robbel, manages to uncover the torment hidden beneath the short language, even while evoking laughter..."
Recommended! NewCity
"The cast (compromised of Erin Elizabeth Orr, Emma Peterson, Bries Vannon, and Greg Wenz) is animated and earnest, finding the anguish and humor in each speech... Robbel makes playful, decisively physical use of the Right Brain Project's tiny Ravenswood theater... Good theatre doesn't require much to be compelling. My Filthy Hunt is an argument for how."
3/4 Stars, Chicago Theater Blog
"In Nathan Robbel's dynamic staging, the most unconventional thing about My Filthy Hunt is its refusal to indulge in postmodern irony. It surprises with sincerity."

The critically acclaimed play at 2007's Edinburgh Festival hits America square in the jaw at the RBP! This raucous, wild, and sometimes heart-achingly tender show spits in the face of theatrical convention. We're kicking off 2011 with an exciting collaboration between Chicago fringe and UK fringe company Horizon Arts! In My Filthy Hunt, we meet four souls who have been touched by Marvin; they once were lost, but now they're found. And make no mistake - their new-found confidence will take the world by storm. But where does that strength really come from? Is it so fleeting that Marvin's absence could turn them into something so ugly? If it's all going to hell, maybe it was better that they never met Marvin in the first place. How does one move on from a void like this? Donuts would help...
My Filthy Hunt is being produced right here at the RBP Rorschach, as well as in Australia at the same time! To learn more about the exciting Horizon Arts and Richard Jordan Productions, please check them out at www.horizon-arts.co.uk

Cast/Crew Bios:
Erin Elizabeth Orr is tickled to be back playing with the RBP for her fifth production! She has been luck to work with the Right Brain Project on such productions as Chalk, And They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers, Put My Finger in Your Mouth, and The Modern Prometheus. She has been seen in multiple productions with the Factory, Speaking Ring Theater, and WNEP Theater. Erin has also played with InFusion Theater, Per Diem, Point of Contention, Silent Theater, Bootstraps Comedy Theater, and most recently in the Mammals' Seven Snakes. She was also lucky to play with Don Hall and Joe Janes in this year's Sketchfest! Originally from Texas, she spent time as an acting intern at Milwaukee Repertory Theater before making her move to the Windy City. Erin would like to thank Nathan for welcoming her back to the RBP with open arms and this wonderful, beautiful cast of actors. Much love to Adam.
Emma Peterson could not be more tickled to be working with the Right Brain Project again. She worked with them on last season's Hesperia as stage manager and is ecstatic to be directing this season's The Archivist written by the talented Stephen Gawrit. Most recently, she directed The Kink by Erin Barlow at LiveWire's VisionFest and J.B. with Chicago Fusion Theatre, where she is a proud artistic associate currently working with their Education/Outreach program developing an exciting new initiative that will sneak-peak in March at The Plagiarists' Salon. She would like to thank her amazing and talented friends, including this phenomenal cast and crew, and her family for their enduring support and humor. She also thanks Philip and Horizon Arts for this exciting script and insight, and Richard for the support and dialogue. Most of all, thank you to Nathan who makes magic happen in every atom of her life.
Bries Vannon is returning to the RBP stage after last appearing as Pronos in And They Put Handcuffs On the Flowers. He is also an ensemble member and Literary Manager at Signal Ensemble Theatre, where he has appeared in Aftermath, The Ballad of the Sad Cafe, Hamlet, and She Stoops to Conquer; and a company member at WNEP Theater, where he appeared in and assistant directed Soiree Dada: Smhmuck Die Hallen. Other favorite credits include Cherrywood (Mary-Arrchie), Faster (the side project), and Dracula (The Building Stage). Bries' very favoritest labor of love is The Nine, a free nine-part performance project that he helms. Next up is Part 2: Radio Silence, appearing here at the RBP Rorschach in May - find more details at www.theninechicago.com!
Greg Wenz is thrilled to be making his deput with the RBP on this fantastic piece of theatre. He has been very active on stage in Chicago over the past five years since relocating from Cleveland, Ohio. Greg has worked with several companies, including Prop Theater, The Nine, Halcyon Theatre, Profiles Theatre, Theatre Seven, and Appetite Theatre, among several others. Over the past year, Greg has been featured in several commericals and films shot in Chicago. Greg would like to thank everyone involved with My Filthy Hunt for the inspirational experience! Sprial out, keep going.
Philip Stokes (Playwright) founded the acclaimed Horizon Arts theatre company in 2003 as a vehicle to produce and perform his plays. He has gone on to win multiple awards for his work, including the Fringe Review Outstanding Theatre Award (Edinburgh) and the Holden Street Theatre Awards (Adelaide). For the RBP, Nathan has directed Halfshut, Hesperia, Pretty Penny, And They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers, Put My Finger in Your Mouth, Franz Kafka's The Castle, and The Empire Builders, among others. Over the past nine years, he has also had the pleasure of directing at the side project, the Bailiwick, the Chicago Sable Ensemble, Dream Theatre Company, and New World Center for the Arts. Nathan also dabbles in sound design, and occasionally jumps on stage when he gets the itch. Nathan would like to thank Emma for the love, Philip for trusting him with his play, Michelle and Chuy for keeping me in check, David and Mike for making us look fantastic, and especially the cast of MFH for trusting me and bearing their souls. Your passion inspires me.

A graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bacherlor of Fine Arts in Theater, Michelle moved to Chicagao in 2006 and has also performed on stage with the Easy Street Players in Sordid Lives and stage managed for 3 Eyed Monster's production of Gimme Change last spring. Michelle would like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work. Special thanks and love to Colby Sellers for all your support.

Michael is an artistic associate with Brain Surgeon Theatre and his most recent project was their production of And He Flew Over the Forest. Michael would like to thank the RBP for bringing him back!
