Marni Balint is a scenic and costume designer. A native of New Hampshire, she graduated in May of 2014 with her MFA in scenic design from the Ohio State University. She has a BA from Plymouth State University in Theatre with options in Acting and Technology/Design, and a minor in Piano Performance. Some of her favorite designs include: This Above All, The House of the Spirits, and The Tempest. Marni spent a year abroad teaching English as a second language in Israel where she created a Drama Club at her school to bring the arts to underprivileged children. She moved to Chicago last summer to pursue her passion in Arts and Education. Marni most recently designed Pygmalion with Rogue Theatre as the Scenic Designer. Next, Marni is co-producing a show with Shut Up Productions that she helped start, which will have its world premiere at the Chicago Fringe Festival this fall, and teaching drama workshops for children at local libraries.
